THE SINGLE’S COUNSEL MINISTRY
The Single’s Counsel Ministry was implemented through the vision of our Bishop and his wife after seeing the need to help persons who are single to understand their importance and worth. It was established in the year 2001 and meetings are held every last Monday of every month under the leadership of Missionary Adelade Barker, and assisted by a committee of six (6) persons.
The Single’s Counsel Ministry is geared towards addressing vital areas of the single person’s life while at the same time creating an environment of fellowship and togetherness through social activities. Our aim and objective is to create an environment through constant education, where singles will realize that their status is a grand opportunity to serve.
The Counsel is divided in “Cell Groups” designed for greater effects to the individuals. These groups meet on a more regular basis (than the general Counsel) for prayer sessions, visitations, and discussions among others. These Cell groups are designed to give a more personal touch to each individual. We hope to help singles such as ourselves to understand and appreciate the fact that we can lead fulfilling lives being single without any feeling of inferiority to other groups.
