The Sunday school is the pillar and hub in any Church.  It is also one of the most vibrant and largest departments of our Church in terms of its importance, relevance and attendance.  As one of the most vibrant department of this Ministry, it continues to shine through the years despite its various challenges.

Each Sunday morning from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., we meet in our various classes which range from Nursery (our babies) to Adults (our Moms and Dads); there is no age limit.  At present there are 18 classes with over 60 hardworking teachers and secretaries alike with our Superintendent being Evangelist A. Davy and Assistants Sis. V. Myrie and Missionary Z. Walters.  This Department sees an average of over 700 students each Sunday.  While our main emphasis is to “teach the Word”, we also have some activities and highlights worth mentioning.

• Our consistent & vibrant Bible Quiz competition which is an annual event.
• Our Vacation Bible School (VBS) which is usually held in the summer holidays where our students are exposed to a variety of activities.
• Child’s month activities such as our Children Crusade where our children get the opportunity to showcase their talents.
• Annual treat for the students during the month of December.
• Our annual Prize-giving where we highlight each class in the areas of the most outstanding student and the first in attendance and offering.

For the past three years we have chosen the most outstanding teachers whose dedication could not go unnoticed.

For the first time in the history of the Department, in 2007, we had an outstanding class. They were very vibrant, gave much to the Lord and teachers and students alike participated greatly in the various activities especially in our Challenges.  This class was “Adults 3”.

Congratulations to our Moms and Dads, Class of the year 2007, all our outstanding teachers and students.  Keep up the good work, your greatest reward is still on the way and it is SURE!!

This department is essential to Christian growth.  Many, if not all our Teachers, workers and even Superintendents were also students of this noble department.  It has also given birth to many preachers, teachers of this Assembly and beyond.  Many of our Teachers are Bible School graduates and are well equipped with the knowledge, expertise and anointing.

We implore you to be that Elisha today, drop everything and come.  There is a blessing and a never-ending experience awaiting you.  It’s a group you cannot help but want to be a part of.
